ERI has a career opportunity for a Structural Engineer in the engineering of water and wastewater treatment facilities, municipal infrastructure, buildings as well as dams. A familiarity with the building, steel, and concrete codes is a must.

Responsibilities & Duties

• Perform field investigations and inspections of infrastructure (must be able to climb up and down ladders and lift 40 lbs.)
• Report writing.
• Responsible for project development, management, and implementation of various tasks.
• Perform structural calculations by hand and via structural analysis and design software.
• Generate project drawings in AutoCAD.
• Assemble and modify specifications suitable for bidding.
• Prepare cost estimates.
• Construction Project Administration
• Potentially assist with civil projects.
• Faciliate and maintain open communication with project team members, clients, and contractors.
• Interface directly with clients.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience for a candidate holding an E.I.T. certification, or 4-8 years of relevant experience for a licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) E.I.T. certification from a U.S. State Licensing board at the time of application is mandatory; candidates without this credential will not be considered. P.E. License from a U.S. State Licensing board is a plus.
• Professional proficiency in written and spoken English required.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Must have a valid Driver's License.
• AutoCAD Experience
• Experience in preparing specifications and bid documents.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
