Their work is a testament to genuine environmental stewardship, ensuring that the critical mission of the company is met with high standards and local impact.

      Cons

      While the field operations are strong, there is a significant disconnect at the corporate level. The current leadership approach, influenced by a "cut-throat" executive style, can feel misaligned with the nuances of the sustainable waste management business. This has resulted in a high-pressure environment where the communication style from the top can be overly aggressive, sometimes overshadowing the collaborative spirit of the wider organization.

      The I&E Apprenticeship Program has been an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience while learning the fundamentals of instrumentation and electrical systems.

      Pros

      The shift supervisor role consists of busy days with a lot of varying priorities. You are responsible for emissions regulation, work permits, specialized permits, managing changing plant conditions, and administrative personnel requirements. This can be a high-octane role but has a more relaxed period on night shift and when outages aren't occurring (planned shutdowns for maintenance). Expect to drive plant performance and employee development. Many opportunities for professional and personal development if you put the time in.

      Cons

      The plant culture will play a huge role in your quality of life, since most of your time will be at the plant. This can be good or bad. Quite a few managers do not engage or develop personnel due to various qualities. You will have to do the leg work in fostering a change for personnel development.
