Pros

I work with excellent people who pull together in time of crisis. Unfortunately, lately we always seem to be in crisis.

Cons

No bonuses will be paid to salary employees due to poor company performance driven by incompetent spend happy senior management. Senior leadership is destroying the company through ill-advised acquisitions the company can’t afford and through a constant bleed of money on shiny buildings filled with high priced overhead that suck the profits.

Incompetent corporate leadership

Pros

Many people I enjoyed working with and even for.

Cons

* Corporate budgeting is a waste of time. They do not spend money anyway because they are so far in debt, despite the fact that their employees have made promises to customers based on already approved expenditures. When the time comes to pull the trigger, it is not done. * Corporate leadership is comprised of accountants and salesmen, none of which actually seems to know anything about the actual manufacture of anything the company produces. Business units were managed "by spreadsheet" with no real communication solicited or listened to. * Growth through acquisition only actually works if you buy companies that will compliment your core competencies or give you new ones relevant to your target market. Also, purchasing ones that are highly leveraged when you do not have a cash surplus and your credit rating and name on Wall Street are trashed? Probably not the brightest idea ever. Yeah, stock has dropped by half in the last year.
