Pros

You get to help professionals advance their careers and you meet a lot of great people.

Cons

The great people you meet leave to work literally anywhere else. Working for this company was an exercise in enduring psychological torment. Micromanagement that suffocates you with its presence at all times of the day; the environment was so toxic that the turnover rate seemed like a badge of honor for those who managed to escape. The attendance policy favors leaders working from home whenever they like but not the rest of us. Working overtime without pay is a cruel mandatory expectation, the benefits were a mere mockery. Breakdowns were the norm. The absence of HR left us defenseless against the unchecked harassment and verbal berating from the leadership. What was truly disturbing was the perverse culture that applauded tears and considered mental breakdowns a sign of dedication – it was not just accepted but encouraged. This company thrived on the emotional exhaustion of its employees, fostering an environment where vulnerability was exploited rather than supported. It was a place where the toll on mental health was not just acknowledged; it was celebrated. Steer clear of this heartless workplace that revels in the suffering of its own workforce.

DON'T DO IT

Pros

good base pay for mid entry level sales job USED to have hybrid flexibility (but seems to be 100% in office now?)

Cons

If you want to succeed here long term you have to go through almost a hazing phase where, regardless of the territory/segment you are given, management lets the senior Account Managers cherry pick the established/successful accounts in your geographical territory "because that's how it was when they started". New AMs are held to certain standards like a 6 month minimum contract duration and $600 weekly net profit while senior AMs get away with 3 month duration and/or $200 profit per week forcing new AMs to walk away from potential business while allowing senior AMs to use these terms. Basically the whole management team in the Bay Area has never had another professional role after college aside from working at Actalent and it's very apparent in the cult-y environment. People are catty, work in a resource scarce mentality poaching opportunities form their peers wherever they can get away with it. As a company that stouts they understand how expensive attrition is, ask yourself, why are they always hiring for AMs/Recruiters? I can tell you from personal experience, in 2022/2023/2024 it is not due to company growth.

Pros

- Office culture is fun (if you like drinking and HR violations) - Truly a good group of people (in my specific field office) - Can make good money if you're lucky or want to work 60 hours/week

Cons

- "impacting lives" by lying to them and trying to sell them on our consulting model that none of our clients actually do - working with sub-par clients that don't pay people what they're worth making our job harder - no work life balance - used to sell people in on our hybrid schedule, but we are now 5x a week in office - Sales and recruiting are held to 2 very different standards and sales gets more flexibility - flexibility offered to leadership only (directors and above can work from home when they want while the rest of us are required to be in office) - Abysmal salary that is based off nothing other than your start date with the company and how many year end goals you hit - LAUGHable benefits. $750/year 401K match.. you read that right. Insanely expensive health benefits that do absolutely nothing. - company paid trip to Mexico for top performers so you can drink and vacation with your coworkers or as directors call them your "friends" (many HR violations happen on this trip and people will get fired and sent home early, I've seen it happen every year I've been)
