Pros

Entrepreneurship is in my blood, I felt this company was a great way for me to do my own thing.

Cons

This company does provide a genuine opportunity to make money. HOWEVER, the product is BAD BAD BAD. I understand the product is for "healthy" people but it's virtually unusable - try sleeping at night knowing you sold someone a product that is garbage and making thousands of dollars off of them. The voicemails I received from unhappy clients at their doctors office or hospitals unable to get benefits paid still gives me the chills. I haven't worked for USHA for a year and I'm still terrified to answer calls, I still let it go to voicemail first. It's that bad. Some months I made 15k - but my stress level was HIGH, I was so unhappy, scared, worried someone would get sick and sue me because they misunderstood my sales pitch. I was emotionally and physically ill from the amount of stress selling bad products was doing to me. I bet you're thinking, wow how could she be stressed making 15k??? I'll tell you, the money isn't yours. These are advances, which is very familiar to me, as I've been in the insurance business for many years, and doesn't bother me. Except, the product is SO BAD that anyone that uses it WILL cancel it. If you're not familiar with a chargeback, it's when someone cancels and the money gets taken out of your paycheck from the advance you were give previously. That's all fine, I've been in the industry for many years, this isn't new to me. When you're selling a legitimate product and you have steady sales, chargebacks are no big deal. Here's the problem, you can never quit working for them. EVER. You know why? The second you stop selling and your account isn't accounting for the chargebacks you start going negative and they will hold you accountable for this after you stop working for them! So, obviously when I quit - no sales and commissions were coming in but chargebacks were occurring like crazy because the product is so bad no one in their right mind would keep it. That doesn't stop them from accounting for that loss of revenue. They sent me a bill a few months ago for $25,000 to pay to USHA in cancelled insurance. Basically, you can never ever quit because you need to keep pumping sales to even out the cancellations.

As always, thank you for your comments. As I read though your text...I noted a few things. 1) - You don't seem to like our products. In fact, you don't seem to think they are legitimate. Yet, each of our products has been filed and was approved by the Insurance Regulators in every state in which we do business. I'm not sure how a product can be any more legitimate than that. 2) - You don't answer your phone for fear that it's a customer who misunderstood your sales pitch. I assume this is the sales pitch you say that you created for yourself, because as you stated "the sales pitches they teach you to do are so awful and out of touch". Am I correct? Perhaps this is a good example of why we teach our agents to use only company-approved sales materials...to ensure honesty and transparency in our sales and complete understanding on the part of our customers. 3) - You seem to be upset that you received advances on commissions (a loan which is collateralized by the premiums paid on the business you placed with our company). Advances help new agents put money in their pockets as they are getting their business built. Without advances, they would likely struggle to pay their monthly bills in the early stages of their careers. Given your years of experience in this industry, I'm sure you are also aware that you can elect to stop receiving advances at any time and be paid straight commissions on your business...thereby removing indebtedness. 4) - As for that age thing you mentioned...we're a company that does not discriminate. We are proud of the fact that we have agents and leaders of all ages, ethnicities, religious beliefs, backgrounds and education...all working together...caring for one another...and thriving in their business. We believe in diversity and we are not inclined to change our position on that front. We also believe in the agent's right to self-determination. We provide an opportunity and an environment that allows every agent to determine their own level of success. Based on your comments...it appears that you have determined yours. In the end, I would encourage anyone who reads this post to take a look at our opportunity for yourself...then decide if it's the right opportunity for you. Again, thank you for your comments and please accept my best wishes for your future success.
